After Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida in early September 2023, Flamingo sightings across the eastern U.S sky rocketed. I was fortunate to find five wild Flamingos at Fort De Soto park in Pinellas County, FL. I photographed and just enjoyed being in their presence for the afternoon. This was my favorite photo that I captured of two adults as they foraged for shrimp in the shallow grass flats.
